Henry Phillips made new design that he bought from someone,then he redesigned it. His innovation was a cross-shaped design that held the screw tightly.These new designed screws could provide greater torque and tighter fastenings.The Phillips tip screw was compatible with the automated screwdrivers which is used in an assembly line.
